Dusty Strings Company seeks a skilled teammate to join our Office Team. This is a position at our Interbay workshop where we build harps and hammered dulcimers at 3450 16th Ave West. For over 45 years, Dusty Strings has been designing and building harps and hammered dulcimers in Seattle. We have become highly respected in the world-wide music community for excellent craftspersonship, mesmerizing sound, and caring customer service. Responsibilities include - Maintaining all regular accounting functions, including A/P, A/R, P/R, benefits administration, account reconciliations, filing city & state tax reports, managing deadlines and general reporting - Taking customer orders and providing customer service over the phone and by email - Other assorted tasks (as a small company, we all wear many hats!) Requirements - Organized and accurate with numbers - Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, LibreOffice Calc, Google Sheets, or equivalent - Familiarity with Quickbooks Desktop or other accounting software Helpful traits - Inquisitive problem solver - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong initiative and self-management skills - Ability to provide helpful and courteous customer service to co-workers and customers - Knowledge of and interest for music and musical instruments My name is Ray Mooers and I’m the co-owner and founder of Dusty Strings Company, which started with a fascination for the hammered dulcimer in 1979.
