Accounting Leadership & Team Management: • Oversee functions of the accounting department, including financial reporting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement. • Support audit preparation and liaise with external auditors, banking relationships, accounting firms, etc. • Ensure the timely and accurate closing of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. • Streamline accounting procedures and implement new systems to improve efficiency and enhance internal controls. • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs. Strategic Partnership: • Serve as a key strategic partner to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and other executive leaders. • Collaborate with the CFO on developing long-term financial strategies, annual budgets, and rolling forecasts. • Provide financial insights and guidance on major business decisions, including pricing strategies, capital investments, and operational changes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PAYROLL: • Payroll processing for multi-state payroll using ADP Workforce. Calculate and process employee wages, including salaried and hourly employees, bonuses, overtime and deductions. • Ensure accurate calculation of tax withholding including federal, state and local taxes. • Vacation and sick leave accruals • Prepare payroll billings for branch offices each pay period • Prepare payroll reports using ADP Reporting and EXCEL • Assist employees with payroll related questions. • Prepares semi-monthly report for employee’s HSA contributions submission • Performs other duties and special reports/projects assigned by upper management QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or business administration preferred • Payroll experience using ADP Workforce now preferred • Good financial analysis skills as evidence in previous work experience. • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to relate to all levels within the organization and outside contacts. • Outstanding problem-solving skills • The ability to perform quality work with accuracy • The ability to work under stress, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Must be able to work normal business hours including additional hours required during month-end, audit and year-end periods PHYSICAL: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Manage the full cycle accounts payable process: entering invoices, processing payments, reconciling statements, and maintaining vendor relations. • Oversee the full cycle accounts receivable process: generating client invoices, applying payments, managing collections, and resolving billing discrepancies. • Accurately process multistate payroll, including deductions, tax payments, and quarterly/year-end reporting. • Administer employee benefits linked to payroll, including vacation accruals and 401(k) deductions. • Maintain meticulous financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations. • Prepare daily bank deposits and manage various payment processing methods (check, ACH, credit card). • Provide exceptional support to vendors, clients, and internal team members regarding financial inquiries. JOB REQUIREMENTS: • 3+ years of hands-on experience in a combined AR, AP, and payroll role. Construction industry experience is a plus! • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and multistate payroll regulations. • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with Sage 100 Contractor is highly preferred. • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality. • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. • Must be a team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a deadline driven environment.
