DUTIES /RESPONSIBILITIES Operates Forklift regularly, safely and efficiently. Operates Carpet Cutting Machine in warehouse. Receives materials in the warehouse scheduled or unscheduled. Regularly moving up to 50lbs of recycled carpet or pad Monitors the staging and location of products using a hand scanner. Reports accidents or other safety situations to management. May be required to perform other related duties as requested including, but not limited to, assisting with other warehouse duties, office cleaning, product support within Vendor locations, etc. Essential Functions: Must be able to operate a forklift. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to sustain a workload consisting of exerting 10 to 50 pounds or more to move objects.

Conduct brake repairs and ensure all safety standards are met. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and modifications. Operate forklifts to move heavy equipment as needed. Fully knowlodgeable in all 18 wheeler repairs, from bumper to bumper. Electrical experience preferred but not necessary. Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with team members to improve operational efficiency and safety protocols. Assist in heavy lifting tasks related to trucks maintenance and repairs. Skills-- Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on diesel engines for 18 wheelers. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. Experience with repairs and 18 wheelers diagnostics is essential. Familiarity with diagnostic scanners is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to work effectively within a team environment. Regulates, monitors and maintains pool filter and chemical feed systems. Performs tasks required for seasonal transitions between aquatic and ice rink operations. Inspects contracted work for satisfactory results. Ensures that all buildings are clean, systems are functional and safe conditions exist. Performs preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment. Assists in training and oversight of seasonal workers on vehicles and equipment operation. Effectively uses the Park District Computerized Maintenance Management System to carry out assigned duties.
