Automotive & Truck Mechanic 📍 Location: Alsip, IL About Us: A-Auto & Truck Center Inc. is a family-owned, full-service auto and heavy-duty truck repair shop serving Alsip and the surrounding communities. We specialize in light-duty cars, medium-duty fleets, heavy trucks, and trailers. Our services include diagnostics, repair, IDOT safety inspections, fleet maintenance, towing, and auto body. We take pride in honest work, quality repairs, and treating our customers like family. Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and motivated Automotive & Truck Mechanic to join our growing team. The right candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills, a professional attitude, and the ability to work independently as well as with a team. Responsibilities: • Perform diagnostics and repairs on cars, light trucks, medium/heavy-duty trucks, and trailers • Conduct preventative maintenance, brake jobs, suspension, steering, electrical, and A/C service • Complete IDOT and DOT inspections (training provided if needed) • Work with fleet accounts, following standard operating procedures and documentation • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment • Communicate clearly with service writers and customers about vehicle needs Requirements: • 3+ years of automotive or truck repair experience (ASE certifications a plus) • Strong diagnostic skills with modern scan tools • Ability to perform a wide range of repairs (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, electrical, etc.) • Own basic tools (specialty tools provided) • Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus but not required) • Reliability, honesty, and strong work ethic What We Offer: • Competitive pay ($20–$37.50/hr based on experience; fleet work is hourly/flat-rate mix) • Overtime opportunities • Paid training and ASE certification support • Family-oriented environment, not a corporate chain • Modern facility with updated equipment and software • Steady fleet and retail work year-round Schedule: • Full-time (Monday–Friday, occasional Saturday) • Flexible hours for the right candidate (708)385-2210

TEMP Position - Travel Southern UT and NV (SLC)
Hotel and per diem provided for all work days. A $500 project completion bonus will be paid if you perform satisfactorily and stay for entire project duration. Work is tentatively scheduled to start OCT 13th and continue off and on through NOV. Temporary labor needed for five week project - possibly six. You will travel with our supervisor and work at remote industrial sites changing out items at each facility. You need to be reliable, hard working, and able to travel and have mechanical aptitude. You will assist with loading items into shipping sacks and use hand tools (electric drill, utility knife, etc) during the work. You must be physically fit and able to climb stairs, kneel, and squat and lift 100lbs - wear a respirator when dusty conditions manifest and wear disposable coveralls, sometimes during hot weather, up to 2.5 hours without a break (it could get hot and you will sweat). Work routine is on and off throughout the day - there are breaks between tasks. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. Hotel and per diem provided for all work days. Work is tentatively scheduled to start OCT 13th and extend off and on through late NOV so your availability for this time is necessary to finalize a work schedule. A $500 project completion bonus will be paid if you perform satisfactorily and work for the duration of the project. For consideration please submit a letter of interest and resume.
