In this role, you'll have the opportunity to teach children ages 5 to 13 in the basic fundamentals of various activities in a fun and non-competitive environment. Our goal is to encourage healthy habits and build confidence in young individuals while ensuring they have a great time! This position offers flexibility with part-time hours and competitive pay. We are currently seeking for positions in the afternoon from 12:30 PM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. Extra hours may be available for the right candidate. Requirements - Must be reliable to work a set schedule, Monday through Friday. - Experience working with school aged children (professional experience is preferred but not mandatory). - A positive attitude and a love for teaching and mentoring children. - Must be at least 18 years old and possess a clean criminal background check. - Reliable transportation is required - Ability to maintain a positive relationship with parents, teachers, and staff. Reporting to the Dean of Student Life, the After School Movement Specialist will be responsible for leading after school physical activity with groups of students in grades K-3. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for promoting moving and playing. Responsibilities Lead a group of up to 18-20 youth in grades K-3 in daily after-school physical activities, and social-emotional learning through physical activities; Facilitate or co-facilitate lessons to help youth build their social and emotional skills; Model and encourage positive participation in all activities, with a focus on team building; Model professionalism through consistent attendance, timeliness, and preparation; Supervise and manage youth during all activities using positive youth development strategies; Participate in professional development and tactical training in addition to formal feedback and coaching.
