Responsibilities: Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, dressing, and eating, meal preparation, Remind clients to take prescribed medication . Ensuring the client’s home is organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place. You may also be expected to assist with some light housework. Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks. Providing mobility assistance may be required, for example helping the client in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair. Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs. Now Hiring: Compassionate Overnight Caregiver – One-on-One Home Care (Kenny Neighborhood, South Minneapolis) We are seeking a dedicated, dependable caregiver to provide one-on-one support for a 40+ year old male with medical, physical, and intellectual challenges. The position is in a private home in the Kenny neighborhood of Minneapolis. The client is severely compromised in mobility and communication and requires hands-on assistance with all activities of daily living, including bathroom care, changing briefs, feeding, medications and transfers. Despite these challenges, he enjoys engaging with the world, attending appointments, and participating in social and recreational outings throughout the Twin Cities. Schedule & Pay The overnight shifts are 10 - 12 hours each – i.e. 10pm – 8am or 9pm – 9am, 3 nights/week. Preference will be given to applicants who are willing to work some weekend hours. Overnight staff are expected to be attuned to the needs of the client throughout the night, perform incontinence care and do general light housework, including a couple loads of laundry during the shift.
