Summary: Lassens Meat & Specialty Foods Manager oversees Meat and Specialty Cheese Departments, and Bulk if the need arises. Basic requirements include purchasing, merchandising, and maintaining standards. Ensures highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization. Orders, merchandises, stocks, cuts, wraps, packs, and displays product according to merchandising and quality standards. Demonstrates passion, connection, and knowledge with these Specialty Foods categories and demonstrates a willingness to continually learn and expand knowledge. Must stay current on food trends, new products, and best practices in food preparation and safety. Must be engaging, offering customers personalized recipes and thoughtful feedback. Must be enthusiastic about sharing their expertise, providing cooking tips, and helping customers make informed choices, and enhancing the overall shopping experience. Lassens Meat & Specialty Foods Manager also supports Market Department operations by maintaining clean, well-organized food displays and assisting the Market Manager with order placements and customer service. The Meat & Specialty Foods Manager is responsible for properly ordering and receiving shipment that is delivered to their location, per the Lassens Receiving Procedure, ensuring inventory within their department is accurate. The Meat & Specialty Foods Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities within the Lassens Meat Department, ensuring that the highest quality standards are being upheld for all products. The Meat & Specialty Foods Manager creates and maintains department displays, ensures all pricing is accurate by placing the correct shelf tags and sale signs throughout the department, and shares their knowledge of Lassens monthly AD’s and sales in the Meat Department with customers. The Meat & Specialty Foods Manager provides leadership for all aspects of the Meat Department, including Team Member development and accountability. The Meat & Specialty Foods Manager provides courteous, friendly, and efficient service to Guests and Team Members. A Meat & Specialty Foods Manager may be expected to obtain extensive knowledge of Natural Foods and some basic knowledge of Nutritional Supplements including vitamins, herbs, amino acids, sports nutrition, food supplements, and health and beauty aids.
