We are a family of 2 who own two small businesses on Kauaʻi — one in catering and one in sustainable clothing & accessories. We’re seeking a reliable and motivated Personal Assistant to support both businesses with day-to-day tasks. This role is part-time with flexible hours, averaging 20 hours per week (80 hours per month). Responsibilities: ✨Catering Business: * Kitchen support: dishwashing, cleaning, assisting with prep in Kapaa * Kitchen support & service at vacation rentals (Princeville or Poipu mostly) * Post-event cleanup in Kapaa and vacation rentals * Shopping at Costco, Hoku, and local Farmers’ markets. ✨Sustainable Clothing & Accessories Business: * Running our booth at farmers markets in the north shore (setup, sales, breakdown) Requirements: * Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license * Ability to lift up to 40 lbs * Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented * Flexible and willing to assist wherever needed * Prior experience in hospitality, restaurants & retail, or farmer’s markets a plus but not required Compensation & Terms: * We offer a fixed monthly stipend for this part-time contract role (~20 hrs/week). The Assistant Store Manager plays a pivotal role in driving sales and fostering a delightful customer experience within our retail stores. This individual will contribute to the formulation of a robust store strategy, aligning the team with our corporate values and mission. Enforce the store's inventory security measures by adhering to the company’s loss prevention program. Adhere to all operational policies and procedures outlined by the store. Assist the Store Manager in coaching and mentoring employees to enhance their individual and team performance. Collaborate with the Store Manager in the recruitment and interviewing process for new employees, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. Requirements Prior retail management experience, ideally with 1+ years in Assistant Manager responsibilities. A results-oriented individual with a strong sales focus, capable of leading and coaching team members towards success. Possess a positive, high-energy, friendly, and engaging personality; willingness to initiate customer interactions and guide them through the store. Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interactions with customers and corporate partners. Proficient with technology, including the ability to operate retail POS systems, Microsoft Word, Excel, email, etc. Ability to lift, carry, or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds when merchandising the sales floor and comfortable using ladders or stairs. TA Travel Center/LV Petroleum is looking for a Site General Manager for the Fillmore, UT travel center. The Site General Manager will be responsible for day-to-day operations pertaining to all site functions. The Site GM will hire, train, coach, mentor, and work alongside all store employees including all other managers. Building a culture of accountability while keeping turnover low is critical to the site’s success. The Site General Manager will be expected to maintain store image standards, customer service standards, food safety and freshness standards; provide clean lot, pumps, restrooms and showers. This position will require someone with a thorough Food Service/QSR understanding including food cost, labor cost, shrink and waste management techniques and how each relates to and impacts overall profitability. Responsibilities · Follow all company policies and procedures as well as all city, county and state regulations pertaining to age restricted sales, food safety, and fuel compliance. · Display ability to budget and forecast P&L lines while also understanding and maintaining company merchandise margin strategy and fuel margin/pricing strategy. · Provide leadership to all site level management, including QSR managers, by modeling expected performance and directing all managers in their work activities to meet or exceed budget. · Responsible for providing the proper training, development, and supervision of all staff to ensure the profitability, environmental protection, site maintenance, safety and efficient operation of the site per company policy and procedures. · Analyze food cost, labor cost, shrink, and waste in real time making adjustments as needed to ensure profitability. · Possess ability to conduct inventory audits and implement inventory controls for both the Truck Stop and QSRs. · Provide leadership to the entire store team, including Food Service/QSR employees and managers. · Establish and maintain fuel safety and food quality/safety standards ensuring adherence to all local, State, and federal safety regulations. · Display initiative in improving store, employee, and personal performance. · Recruit, hire, train, and coach in order to build a positive and enthusiastic staff ensuring excellent customer service. · Establish on-going communication meetings with all store employees and management regarding safety, employment issues, store goals etc. · Must be able to timely and accurately complete daily paperwork, deposits, receive and verify vendor deliveries, create work schedules. · Maintain strong vendor relationships.
