Material Handler – Pallet Assembler Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt Department: LETEM Recycling ABQ Reports to: Department Supervisor Summary/Objective The Material Handler position main function is to repair wooden pallets to desired specs. Essential Functions 1. Utilizing a nail gun to assemble wooden components to create wooden pallet. 2. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions using a crowbar and handsaw. 3. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. 4. Must be able to perform but not limited to the following tasks: • Able to lift 50 lbs. • Able to work standing on your feet for 8+ hours a day • Able and willing to work in an outdoor environment. • Able to bend and lift for 8+ hours a day. 5. Must be willing to accept and receive frequent directives. As with all positions at LETEM Recycling, this position requires emphasis on quality and safety. A metals distributor in the San Diego area has an opening for a full-time Saw Operator & Inspector to work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday (7:30 am to 4:00 pm) & available to work OT as needed. This is a temp-to-hire position, to ensure that you are a good fit for our company and that we are a good fit for you. This individual will be assisting warehouse team to inspect materials, cut metals to size, and final inspect parts. Must also assist with keeping saws, equipment, and warehouse clean, and returning unused materials to stock.
