Restorative nursing assistant (Lynden)
As a restorative nursing assistant at CHCC, you will follow each resident’s care plan and implement personalized restorative programs that support their highest level of mobility and independence in daily activities. Responsibilities:
• Provide a pleasant, positive and calm environment for residents.
• Communicate and work smoothly with residents, families, supervisors and co-workers.
• Encourage resident independence and rehabilitation when indicated.
• Perform tasks, within nursing assistant scope of practice, according to CHCC procedures.
• Keep resident rooms neat and tidy, including making beds.
• Follow directions, observe residents’ responses and report changes to the unit coordinator.
• Perform restorative care treatments.
• Encourage residents to perform or participate in daily ADL functions.
• Provide range of motion in accordance with the resident’s plan of care.
• Instruct and supervise residents during therapy.
• Assure that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident’s response to care.
• Help transport wheelchair users to activities and meals.
• Correctly apply and monitor resident safety devices.
• Prevent the spread of infection, including frequent hand-washing and gloving.
• Assist in the support of company-sponsored events, activities and functions.
• Abide by all standards, policies and procedures of the facility, including the facility’s compliance and ethics program, as a condition of employment.
• Attend in-service training as requested and required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
• Support CHCC’s mission.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• A Washington state nursing assistant (CNA/NAC) license in good standing is required.
• One year of nursing assistant experience is preferred.
• One year of restorative nursing assistant experience is preferred.
Work schedule: Forty hours per week. 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Work every other weekend and rotate through holidays, scheduled monthly in advance.
