We are seeking reliable, safety-minded drivers to join our contractor team and help us fulfill this important federal contract. As a contract driver, you’ll be responsible for the timely transport of mail along Highway Contract Route 24463. You will represent both our company and the USPS, ensuring professional service, strict adherence to schedules, and compliance with USPS security standards. --- 🛣 Responsibilities Safely operate company-approved vehicle(s) for mail transport. Pick up and deliver mail between assigned USPS facilities according to set schedules. Ensure the secure handling of all USPS property. Complete daily logs and mileage reports accurately. Valid U.S. Driver’s License Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no serious traffic violations in past 3 years). Must pass USPS background check and drug screening. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle mail containers. U.S. citizen or permanent resident (per USPS security requirements). Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct. --- 💵 Compensation Rate: $16/hr approx 34 hours per week Contractor paid bi-weekly via payroll service. --- 📝 Additional Information This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role — not an employee position. Drivers are responsible for maintaining reliability and availability for all assigned contract runs. Must be comfortable working with federal contractors and under USPS oversight.
