Admiral Refrigeration manufactures and installs Luxury walk-in coolers for the high end residential homes. In addition the company fabricates and installs commercial refrigeration rack systems for the food service industry. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production process by assisting with various tasks that ensure the efficient operation of our shop. This position requires a hands-on approach and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization. Responsibilities • Assist in the assembly of products on the assembly line, ensuring quality standards are met. • Working in the shop dry-fitting walk-in coolers for residential application. • Utilize hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks. • Operate forklifts to move materials and products safely within the warehouse. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. • Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and improve production efficiency. • Perform basic mechanical tasks as needed, demonstrating mechanical knowledge in various applications. • Support inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages. • Working diligently to stay on track with shipping schedule Skills • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for fabrication and assembly tasks. • Experience working in a warehouse or factory environment is preferred. • Familiarity with operating forklifts safely and efficiently. • Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues. • Ability to work effectively on an assembly line, maintaining focus and attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective teamwork. • A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to changing work environments. Assembly position using basic hand tools to assemble various components in quantity, with a possibility of on-the-job training across other areas of manufacturing.
