Job description; includes but is not limited to being on call 2 nights a week working hours from 7am-5pm or till job is complete. Work will include routine maintenance, electrical systems ,heavy equipment, troubleshooting, hydraulics welding, heavy lifting and other. Requirements to be Employed with M.T.G. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, have held a drivers license three years and a clean drivers record with no DUI or major accidents in the last ten years. Be mechanically inclined. The ability to pick up 70lbs plus consecutively. Be able to fallow rules and directions. Have a mobile smart phone that has service. Have ability to fill out federal documents for inspections and legible handwriting. Keep the service truck that is provided to you clean and maintained properly, and inventory all tools and supplies provided to you daily. We Pay Weekly on fridays based off of booked hour structure. Starting pay is $27.5 depending on tools and experience pay can get up to $32.5 per hour. We do not limit the amount you work meaning you can make as much as you want. Position Purpose: The Egg Collective Builder is a skilled individual proficient in fine woodworking with 3 - 5+ years experience. This individual exhibits a thorough understanding of wood science and fine woodworking techniques, is self-motivated and enjoys working as part of a respectful and collaborative team. We’re looking for a candidate who is intentional, focused, engaged and curious. Essential Functions: • Multi-task, prioritize deadlines with simultaneous work assignments in a goal-oriented, collaborative environment. • Construct pieces from start to finish autonomously at times and collaboratively at times. • Build with consistency, maintain/improve speed and accuracy from project to project. • Learn and adapt to new methods and techniques. • Devise and build jigs as necessary to find efficiencies within the build. • Mill and prepare lumber/sheet goods utilizing saws, jointers, planers and sanding machinery. • Join, construct, and glue-up furniture according to shop drawings. • Sand and prep work for finishing when necessary. • With a keen eye for detail, ensure every product meets EC’s exacting standards. • Work within production timelines/ goals, keep an accurate account of hours through Harvest Time app. • Utilize and maintain hand tools and operate machinery in accordance with safety standards for self and team at all times. • Self assess and make adjustments as necessary to address or correct fabrication hurdles in order to maintain EC’s quality standards. • Work with other team members to expedite the production schedule. • Skill share and provide practical training with other team members whenever helpful or necessary. • Provide feedback within a team setting to continually improve processes. • Willingness to take direction and follow standard operating procedures. • Assist with lumber deliveries and basic machine maintenance. • Take ownership of general upkeep of the premises and participate in team upkeep efforts. • Assist with and grow skillsets in other areas of EC production as needed (finishing, final assembly, and material management) with the goal of being a cross departmental team member. Work Environment: This job operates out of the Egg Collective Manufacturing Facility in Brooklyn, NY. This is a full- time, 40-hours a week position. The builder role is an in-person position and cannot be performed remotely.
