Description: We're looking for a Finishing Carpenter to help us with various projects in the Portland Metro Area and possibly in Central Oregon. This position is a 1099 position. Opportunities for additional work are available to applicants with additional skill sets. Responsibilities: High-quality finish carpentry work, including installation of trim, moldings, doors, cabinetry, and other custom woodwork Meeting standards for precision, durability, and aesthetics Working with company owner to ensure timely scheduling and completion of projects. Requirements: Professional finishing carpentry experience Solid base of knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools Ability to work independently. The Residential Collection Driver will operate a residential system truck, empty or have the helper empty residential customers’ containers into the truck, and deliver loads to designated landfills, transfer stations or recycling centers. PURPOSE Serves as Installer for assigned department. Reports timely to project leader on site and performs tasks as needed/assigned. Adheres to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Travels between job sites as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Provides labor as flooring installer on projects as assigned. • Represents the company in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner. • Must be able to comprehend basic instructions. • Willingness to ask for help when needed. • Must be on-time to jobsites. • Proficient working with all types of flooring, including by not limited to tile, wood, and carpet. • Basic knowledge on leveling floors, including sanding. • Have basic math skills. • Install all types of flooring. • Must be dependable, professional and safety conscious. • Assumes responsibility for his/her own installation quality, correctness, and cost effectiveness on all assigned tasks. • Develops a good process and “flow” on the jobsite, minimizes down-time, has areas completed before changing work assignments. • Team Oriented-Cooperate with Ritsema field leaders in performing assigned tasks. • • Be willing to complete additional tasks as needed. • Adapts easily to changing priorities. • High quality standards - Inspects job quality and reports problems to Field Leader or Superintendent. • Identifies and recommends solutions for improvements. • Pays special attention to quality of their work. • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
