Two companion only thoroughbreds (Webster, NH)

With a very heavy heart, I’m looking to rehome two pasture sound only (unrideable) bonded thoroughbreds. I don’t know a ton about them as I had taken them in with the purchase of our home about three months ago. Unfortunately they’re fearful of my other farm animals and dogs. They deserve to be happy and live a life of leisure in a field or open area with room to run. On top of them being unhappy here, I was lied to by their previous owner and given lots of very false information. Unfortunately I wasn’t aware until after taking ownership and speaking with their vet. One is a thoroughbred gelding who is about 10 years old. He was previous a racehorse, who was injured on the track. Out of the two, he is much more confident and more friendly. The second horse is a thoroughbred mare, approximately 10-15 years old, she was previously a broodmare. She is shy but can be very loving once she trusts you. Both horses have arthritis and cannot be ridden. They’re both up to date on vaccines and had a recent visit from the farrier. It is recommended that they should be sedated for the farrier, they stand well without sedation but can be difficult about lifting legs and potentially kicking out due to the arthritis. The gelding does wear front shoes but if barefoot on the back, the mare is barefoot all around but may need front shoes in the future, per my farrier. They’re currently eating poulin decade complete, timothy/alfalha pellets, and a little sweet feed, as well as constant 24/7 access to 2nd cut timothy hay. They must stay together as the mare relies heavily on the gelding for comfort. I’m asking a small rehoming fee for the pair.
