Your Role at a Glance Turner Exhibits Production Team specializes in the design, fabrication, and installation of custom kinetic architecture features and permanent exhibits for corporate, non-profit, and private clients across commercial and residential sites throughout North America and internationally. This position is a key member of the Production Team, classified as full-time, hourly, and reports directly to the Production Manager. In your new role, you will: Read and interpret design and technical shop drawings. Select the appropriate tool(s) and process(es) from a variety of electrical and manual equipment to complete fabrication tasks. Cut and layout parts to achieve quality results that meet design and performance criteria. Produce machine parts to tight tolerances Produce appearance-grade, accurate, and structurally sound welds. Work in a professional manner and maintain equipment properly to ensure the safety of yourself and others. Collaborate with others in the Production, Design, and Project Management teams to successfully deliver complex projects from planning to completion. Seek out and utilize the expertise of your peers and management. Be an asset to the team, sharing your own expertise and experiences. What you will need to succeed: Be able to read and interpret technical drawings. Have basic tool skills (i.e. angle grinder, orbital, bandsaw, etc.). Have forklift operation experience. Have prior fabrication/layout building experience. GTAW experience required and FCAW/GMAW experience preferred. Interest in developing machining skills (manual mill & lathe work) Work safely, accurately, and efficiently to achieve high levels of quality. Contribute productively in a team environment. Have the capability and desire to communicate effectively with a diverse set of individuals within and outside of Turner Exhibits. Enjoy learning new skills and desire to continuously improve. Be willing to travel. Report any production, quality or safety problems to the supervisor immediately. •Perform daily/weekly/monthly preventive maintenance on machines as necessary. Contribute to PM planning. •Perform minor electrical testing, such as, change fuses and fix broken wires. •Perform small parts replacement as needed: •Bindery: folder rollers, glue nozzles, feed rollers/belts, bearings, Spedo pin feeds •Inserting: feed rolls/belts, glue/water nozzles, minor transport repairs •Respond to machine problems throughout the shift. •Diagnose problems and perform minor repairs and adjustments as quickly as possible to avoid production delays. •Utilize MicroMain system for all repairs/parts.
