Deck builder - Railing installer

Carpenter/Deck Builder Wanted Local construction company looking for qualified and experienced Carpenters to join our team. We primarily build outdoor living spaces including open and covered decks, railings. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, with a minimum of 3 years experience in framing, installation of wood and composite decking materials, some concrete finishing, and other specialties. Wage is $22 to $30/hour dependent on experience. Benefits upon completion of probationary period include paid holidays, 401k match, medical insurance, and paid vacation. Responsibilities and Duties: • Must be able to carry a minimum of 60 lbs • Ensure trucks and materials are available for each job each day. • Maintain equipment. • Cut and shape lumber and composite decking according to measurements. • Calculate and build staircases, layout foundations and frame buildings with raw materials and pre-constructed items. • Ability to work with 1-3 other team members and occasional subcontractors in cooperation with company owners and Lead/Master Carpenter with good communication, clear instructions, and a willingness to mentor others. Qualifications and Skills: • 2 years minimum carpentry experience. Proven experience as carpenter, exposure to many trades. • Willingness to learn and work in all weather conditions. • Clean driving record with reliable transportation and attendance. • Aptitude for problem solving and attention to detail. • Ability to read or learn how to read technical documents and drawings. • Able to lift, move, carry most common building materials on various surfaces, slopes,crcra and heights to complete installation at market pace. • Tool bags and personal hand tools.
