Key Responsibilities: Estate Sale Preparation (Wed/Thurs): Unpack and sort items from boxes and storage. Clean, dust, and polish items to prepare them for sale. Research and price items using provided resources and online tools. Organize and stage the home to create an attractive and easy-to-shop layout. Assist with setting up display tables, racks, and signage. Sale Day Operations (Fri/Sat): Greet and assist customers with a friendly and professional demeanor. Answer customer questions about items, their history, and pricing. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system. Monitor the sales floor to ensure a safe and secure environment. Help with crowd control and managing customer flow. Sale Breakdown & Cleanup (Sat): Assist with packing up and organizing unsold items. Break down display tables and other equipment. Help with general cleanup of the estate, including sweeping, dusting, and removing trash. General Duties: Collaborate effectively with the estate sale manager and other team members. Maintain a positive and respectful attitude with clients, customers, and colleagues. Safeguard merchandise against theft or damage. Qualifications: Previous experience in retail, sales, or a related field is a plus. A strong interest in antiques, vintage items, art, furniture, and other household goods is highly desirable. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work the required Wednesday-Saturday schedule. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
