We care for elderly in a regular residential neighborhood - this is their home! Each home can have up to 6 residents, and we need caregivers that are responsible, and have a passion for their work. We are looking for someone to work the following shifts: -- Day shift 12 hours from 7am to 7pm -- on call various hours available -- Overnight (alert no sleeping) 12 hours from 7pm - 7am every other weekend and some weekdays . Speak to the RN about details. $10+hr starting pay, plus paid vacation and sick days that accumulate immediately. We also offer Aflac disability and insurance. Provide personal care services including: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, positioning, transferring, and other care as designated • Provide other services as assigned including skin and incontinence care, assisting with prosthetics, nail care, functional skills, and, as necessary, any observations/monitoring needed • Provide homemaking tasks, doing laundry, folding and putting away clothing, and bed making as needed and according to the service plan • Exhibit genuine respect and care for the well being of each resident • Follow strict HIPAA policies and procedures to ensure resident privacy • Respond in an immediate and timely way to unexpected/emergency situations that arise outside of the daily assignment, including emergency response system calls from residents, security issues, and falls • Respond to and report changes in resident health status and/or any recommendations for changes that should be made to the resident plan of care • Complete thorough daily charting requirements; initial all care given, document refusal of care, and provide signature in designated signature section • Immediately report any suspected resident abuse or neglect per defined procedures • Communicate any community maintenance problems, hazards, and/or problems with equipment • Complete all training programs by assigned due date(s) • Perform other duties as assigned Some requirements: •CNA License preferred, but will train the right person. •Punctual, Responsible, and Caring •Reliable transportation is required •Compassionate and kind •Able to pass background check •Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers Call or text Lucy RN at (952)-846-8606. Weekday and weekend PCA’s needed for independent male quadriplegic because of a spinal cord injury. My long-term live-in weekday PCA is moving on after 10 years and he is going to sunny warm Arizona. My weekend PCA is also moving on for other commitments. I’m an easy-going guy and I work full time from home during the week. I enjoy TV, movies, and getting out of the house on weekends. I have good use of my arms, use a power wheelchair for mobility, and have a modified van that I drive myself. Duties Training will be provided. You would be working in my private home. Duties include dressing assistance, bathroom assistance, range-of-motion exercises, meal preparation, laundry, grocery shopping, and light cleaning. Candidate must be able to provide a safe transfer to and from wheelchair. I’m 5’ 11” and weigh about 130 pounds. I have good arm strength so I’m able to hold on for the transfer. Area Roseville, MN Shift Monday thru Friday mornings start as early as 6:30 for 4 hours. Monday thru Friday evenings are a little flexible but generally 7 to 11. Weekends are more flexible but generally start at 9:00am for 4 hours and 7 to 11pm. There is a possibility for a live-in situation after a trial period to see if we’re compatible. I do have extra bedrooms and bathroom if it is easier for the PCA to spend the night. Qualifications A responsible, honest and trustworthy person with reliable transportation required. The closest mainline bus route is about a mile away. Candidates must speak fluent English, be 18 years or older and pass a DHS (MN Department of Human Services) background check. Pay $20.00 to $24.00 per hour, paid through an agency.
