Description

We are seeking skilled and motivated Journey Level Mechanical Insulators. Work will take place in and around the Anchorage, Kenai, Alaska area on a variety of commercial and industrial projects. Responsibilities Install Insulation: Apply insulation materials to pipes, ducts, tanks, boilers, and other mechanical systems according to specifications and safety standards. Read Blueprints & Specs: Interpret construction documents and follow job specific requirements. Work Safely: Follow all OSHA and site safety rules, including proper use of PPE. Material Handling: Safely lift, move, and stage insulation materials (up to 50 lbs). Adapt to Conditions: Perform work in hot and cold environments, both indoors and outdoors. Access Work Areas: Climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and maneuver in elevated or restricted areas. Qualifications Minimum 4 years experience as a journey-level mechanical insulator. Reliable transportation/vehicle to job sites. Must be able to travel Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work. Comfortable working in varied environments (confined spaces, heights, extreme weather). Knowledge of insulation types, installation methods, and mechanical systems. Strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Compensation:  $20.00 to 25.00 per hour. The physical requirements can often be completed repetitively and for extended periods of time.
