Driver for Premium Courier Service - $30-36/hr - On-demand Deliveries (Northern Virginia/Washington DC)

Looking for extra income to supplement a part-time job? Earn up $36+ per hour delivering small packages for our upscale clients. We are a niche courier service looking for a dependable and trustworthy driver to perform local deliveries in the DC Metro area (DC, Northern Virginia, Maryland). This is not your typical courier job and I am not looking for just a "driver". We offer higher-priced, premium delivery service, which means that you can earn over $36 per hour of driving. This is an independent contractor position with a lot of flexibility for those who can "stand by" and be available when jobs come in. Some days will have 0-1 deliveries, but other days will have up to 6 or more deliveries. Benefits: - Approximately $36 per hour of driving. You will be paid between $30-100+ for each delivery. - Excellent tax deductions for vehicle expenses lowers your taxable income significantly. - Flexible position. Choose your hours/days when you are available. - Work in an upscale environment. Requirements: I am looking for someone who has a professional demeanor and can communicate well with our clients. Someone with customer service or hospitality experience is preferred. - Professional, clean appearance and demeanor. We serve an upscale clientele, so you must dress well. A well-fitting collared shirt is required. - Clean, reliable vehicle (full-size sedan is best). You will use your own car and pay for your own gas, insurance, and repairs. - Valid driver's license. - Comfortable driving/parking in DC. Know how to navigate the area. - You should reside in between Arlington, VA and Fairfax City for timely pickup at client locations. - Excellent English and communication skills. - Good driving record. - Able to pass a background check. - Nonsmoking, no drug use. - Eligible drivers must be available to work at least 3 days from 10-4pm. Job Responsibilities - We are an on-demand delivery service. You will standby at home until deliveries are requested. - Pick up and deliver merchandise, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. - Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate with dispatch regarding delivery status - Keep vehicle clean and in good working order. We operate between the hours of 9am-5pm Mon-Saturday. Most deliveries occur between 10am-4pm. Applicants who fail to answer all briefing questions will not be considered.
