Salary • Great benefits • Paid Time Off • Must have a Class A license, 3 years of experience, clean MVR, DAC, and CSA Responsibilities • Lead classroom, yard, and road CDL Class A and B training • Perform evaluations through checklists and observation, as well as documenting progress. • Monitor student progress, identify any gaps and provide additional assistance as necessary. • Maintain proper documentation, including daily attendance, tracking, evaluations, etc. • Emphasize safety concepts, principles and procedures. 3 Types of Instructors Classroom Instructors - these individuals are inside the classroom going over all book material the drivers will need to pass their exam as well as other truck driver related questions. Range Instructor - Out on the range / driver pad. Teaching the original skills of driving a truck. Rarely in the truck or in the driving seat with the students. Road Instructors - out with 4 students or less. Each truck is modified to comfortably and safely fit all students and the instructor in the truck. Selected individuals will be responsible for preparing students for Pre-Trip, Yard Skills and Road Driving portions of their exam.
