Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Junior Mechanic to assist in maintaining and repairing a fleet of 15+ delivery vehicles, including FedEx-style vans and trucks. This role is essential to ensuring the fleet operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and supporting on-time delivery operations. Under the guidance of senior mechanics and the Fleet Manager, the Junior Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and assist with inspections in a fast-paced environment. Fleet Maintenance and Repair: • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil and filter changes, tire replacements, and brake services, for a large fleet. • Assist senior mechanics in diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues. • Conduct minor repairs, such as replacing batteries, lights, and wiper blades, to maintain fleet readiness. 2. Inspection and Compliance: • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify wear and tear or potential issues. • Assist in preparing vehicles for state inspections, emissions tests, and safety audits. 4. In addition to having strong basketball knowledge and coaching experience, candidates must be professional and positive and have flexible afternoon and evening schedules. A strong candidate for this position would have head coaching experience at the high school and/or collegiate levels. The official basketball season runs from November 3 through early February. Qualifications: Previous successful coaching experience at the high school level, preferably within the previous four years. Collegiate-level playing experience in this sport is highly desirable, with high school-level playing experience expected as a minimum requirement. Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to implement effective coaching theory, strategies, and techniques appropriate for high school athletes.
