Underground Utility Contractor is seeking a full-time experienced shop and field diesel/heavy equipment mechanic. The fleet includes Ford crew trucks, dump trucks, Peterbilt trucks, lowboy trailers, Komatsu excavators, Takeuchi excavators, and Volvo wheel loaders. Requirements: YOU MUST BE RELIABLE, DETAIL ORIENTED, PUNCTUAL, AND A TEAM PLAYER. Knowledge and experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, heavy equipment, and fabrication Clean driving record Must have strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshoot, and be able to think outside the box. Ability to work under limited supervision, self-starter, be able to prioritize repairs, and complete in a timely manner. The desired employee will take pride in and ownership of their work, ensuring the shop is clean and organized as if it were their own. Duties: *Perform repairs and assigned preventative maintenance services. *Perform inspections, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulics, suspension, brake, and air systems on fleet trucks, company trucks, and all equipment. *Ability to keep an up-to-date log book and track all maintenance dates, due dates, and services. *Inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment. *Raise trucks and heavy parts, or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists. *Recondition and replace parts, pistons, bearings, gears, and valves. *Troubleshoot operational problems and determine a plan of action to remedy them. *Install equipment and other necessary components to meet the specifications. *Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. *Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. Commercial Carpenter (Western WA) (Greater Seattle Area)
We are a busy commercial general contractor looking to add carpenters to our team. This person will be involved in commercial ground-up retail buildings, and tenant improvement projects. The ideal candidate will be able and willing to perform most working tasks on a commercial construction site. You must have your own vehicle and be willing travel throughout Washington State. Night and graveyard shifts may be required. This position is well suited to someone that is interested in moving into a foreman and/or superintendent role. The pay rate will depend on experience but we want good people and are happy to pay above average wages and benefits. This position will require moving construction materials, tools and heavy equipment. You should be able to carry up to 80 pounds and climb stairs, ramps and ladders frequently.
