Responsibilities: Operate various types of commercial vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers for deliveries and pickups. Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques. Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure safe operation. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance. Collaborate with warehouse staff to organize inventory and manage stock levels effectively. Communicate clearly with team members regarding delivery schedules, routes, and any issues that may arise during transit. Assist in general warehouse duties such as sorting, packing, and moving materials as needed. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within a warehouse environment. Mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting. Familiarity with operating heavy equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is preferred. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Experience with route driving or shuttle driving is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the day. Previous experience in freight handling or paratransit services is beneficial.
