We are looking for Inspectors to cover the following territory: Michigan City, LaPorte, South Bend, Elkhart, Plymouth, Knox. Full time Inspector preferred or possibly a good fit for 2 part time inspectors. As an Occupancy Inspector you drive to the addresses provided and determine occupancy of the property. Follow instructions on orders as there are different types of inspections. Provide photos and response to questionnaire for each address via our mobile app. The orders are coming from mortgage companies checking on the status and conditions of the properties and can be drive by inspections, walk thru inspections and some are contact inspections. Addresses are automatically assigned by zip code to an inspector via our online system. The inspector is responsible to log on to the system, route the work to be completed and submit the work back utilizing our friendly mobile app by the due date. The required photos on every order at minimum is Street Sign, Neighborhood, Front of House, Address, and evidence picture of Occupancy (such as kids toys, vehicle, decorations). Equipment Required- Iphone/Android Cell Phone, GPS, Computer/Laptop & Internet Access, Dependable vehicle This is a subcontractor position, receiving a 1099 for taxes. All training & support provided. Not the average Direct Support Professional job. The client is a 27 year old male that has autism. The easy part: The client is independent in the bathroom and dresses himself. He does need some help preparing healthy meals. He is active and likes to swim in the river, hike, go for car rides, have fires at the beach and in the mountains. During these times, the job is mostly a big brother/ big sister type of job. The hard part: The young man you would be working with is 6’ tall and weighs 170 lbs. He has grand mal seizures and a neurological condition that causes him to become combative from time to time. When this happens, you will need to step in and keep him safe. At these times, the job becomes more of a bodyguard/American ninja warrior type position. You would be working with 2 other people that have experience and are trained for this. This young man is very athletic and mobile and you have to keep up with him. Flexible shifts/ days and we are willing to consider part time. It is possible to work 40 hours over the span of 2 ½ days, spending the night in the family home. You could then have 4 ½ days off before you would be on shift again. If you prefer a regular schedule of 8 hour per day, that if fine also. Overtime is also available. You must have a valid driver’s license. The job is centered around the family home which is located between Gold Beach and Brookings. Experience not required and all training is provided. Starting rate is $24.00 per hour.
