Sorrel Restaurant seeking a skilled and passionate hospitality professional to join our team as both Sommelier and Captain. This dual role requires someone who can seamlessly balance exceptional tableside service with expert wine knowledge. The ideal candidate will be able to provide warm and attentive service as a captain as well as knowledgeable and confident beverage recommendations as a sommelier.   Captain Duties: Provide attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly service throughout the guest experience. Uphold service standards, timing, and presentation. Maintain poise under pressure Effectively manage multiple tables Sommelier Duties: Extensive knowledge of all wines by the glass, beverage pairings, low-proof cocktails, and zero-proof offerings, with the ability to guide guests' selections Knowledge of regions, producers, bottlings, and vintages represented on the list Receiving and stocking beverage orders Preparation & batching of low-proof and zero-proof beverages for service At Sorrel we strive to push the envelope when it comes to Northern California culinary excellence in a One Star Michelin setting.
