Forager Landscapes has some exciting projects coming up! I am looking for someone who is interested in general landscape installation and maintenance work but especially interested in: -Natural stonework (hardscape patios, pathways and wall construction) -Native plants & invasive species removal (planting and maintenance) for habitat creation and restoration -Fruit tree seasonal care (maintenance, pruning and future harvest & processing) There will be plenty of on-the-job training but it is helpful to have some related experience. Small and established busy automotive repair shop seeking a service writer. This position will provide general customer service tasks such as answering the phone and assisting walk in customers. This position is responsible for pricing repair jobs and selling the recommended repair to the customer. The service writer will manage the flow of work for the shop and schedule repair and service jobs. Responsible for inventory management and ordering of parts by working with a variety of vendors. Automotive experience a plus but not required. Skills and qualifications required: - Computer skills (typing, email, navigating basic software applications) - High level of customer service - Ability to multi-task and problem solve - Valid WA drivers license - Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. Under general supervision of the Operations Manager/Project Manager, Field Technician will repair foundations and apply epoxy, waterproofing, sealant, or other liquid products both on horizontal and vertical concrete surfaces. Duties and Responsibilities • Construction Industry experience is preferred. • Knowledge of foundation repair and applying surface coatings is preferred • Experience in grinding concrete, cutting concrete, and breaking concrete a plus. • Install epoxies and other liquid products on foundation walls, floors, and other larger flat surfaces. • Climb ladders, dig using hand tools and mini excavator, and haul material. • Painting, paint prep including sanding, caulking, and priming. • Work in confined areas such as crawl spaces. • Operate paint pumps. • Basic carpentry for forms and finishing. • Communicate with the Project Manager on progress at the job site. • Keep clean and organized job sites. • Maintain good working relationships with all company employees. Safety and Requirements • Keep all job sites clean and in order. • Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures. • Valid State issued driver’s license and use of vehicle to arrive at office. Carpenter/Deck Builder Wanted Local construction company looking for qualified and experienced Carpenters to join our team. We primarily build outdoor living spaces including open and covered decks, railings. The ideal candidate has a clean driving record, with a minimum of 3 years experience in framing, installation of wood and composite decking materials, some concrete finishing, and other specialties. Wage is $22 to $30/hour dependent on experience. Benefits upon completion of probationary period include paid holidays, 401k match, medical insurance, and paid vacation. Responsibilities and Duties: • Must be able to carry a minimum of 60 lbs • Ensure trucks and materials are available for each job each day. • Maintain equipment. • Cut and shape lumber and composite decking according to measurements. • Calculate and build staircases, layout foundations and frame buildings with raw materials and pre-constructed items. • Ability to work with 1-3 other team members and occasional subcontractors in cooperation with company owners and Lead/Master Carpenter with good communication, clear instructions, and a willingness to mentor others. Qualifications and Skills: • 2 years minimum carpentry experience. Proven experience as carpenter, exposure to many trades. • Willingness to learn and work in all weather conditions. • Clean driving record with reliable transportation and attendance. • Aptitude for problem solving and attention to detail. • Ability to read or learn how to read technical documents and drawings. • Able to lift, move, carry most common building materials on various surfaces, slopes,crcra and heights to complete installation at market pace. • Tool bags and personal hand tools.
