Paralegal (Butler/Milwaukee)

Widely respected consumer bankruptcy law firm, on Northwest side of Milwaukee, looking to add a Paralegal to join our team to assist in office administrative duties, client document collection, preparing, reviewing and updating Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy petitions and documents related to filings. The successful candidate must have a keen eye for detail, and be a team player, yet be comfortable working independently and accurately in order to complete work within designated time frames. Duties include assisting attorneys, proactive and responsive client contact, contact with creditors, telephone answering, scanning documents, monitoring court notices, routine mailings, maintenance of file, generation of documents, requisition of property records and bills, and file organization. Responsible for carrying out Firm mission and following the Firm's guiding principles. Candidate must have the ability to be caring, compassionate and reassuring to clients and non-clients, prioritize and multitask, have strong analytical skills, strong writing and grammar skills and the ability to disseminate complex matters. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high volume law firm, handling multiple projects simultaneously, and is both dependable and reliable. A background, work experience or degree program in accounting is a plus. Salary commensurate with experience.
