Project Summary: Install new CO detectors for Dormitories We have 3 dormitories that will need new CO detectors installed. Each dormitory will require 16 hard wired CO detectors. The following SOW contains the list of items that that need to be completed for all 3 dormitories. There will need to be 3 quotes, one for each building using this SOW. Install three alarms in the corridor and one alarm outside the accessible bedroom in each of the four dormitory wings. The new CO alarm shall be UL 2034 listed and have a tamper resistant feature that will emit an alarm sound if the unit is removed or comes loose from a wall outlet. Alternatively, if outlets are not available, use hard-wired models, with battery backup, and connect to the nearest unswitched lighting/power branch circuit wiring using 3 #12 THHN/THWN in 1/2-inch Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT). Install and maintain in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. Please see extent of work for more detail. Findings: There is a potential for occupants to be exposed to carbon monoxide (CO) from a fuel-burning appliance located in the building. The dormitory corridor in all four wings is provided with battery operated CO alarms, which are not code compliant. (IFC, 2021, 915.4.1 & 1103.9, NFPA 101, 2024, 29.3.4.6.1) Recommendation: Replace the existing battery-operated CO alarms with 16 new 120VAC powered, plug-in models (as example Model KN-COB-LCB-A by Kidde or equal) with battery backup. Project Summary: We have 4 roof tops of buildings 3/4, 700, 730, and 935 that require new gas piping supports. At present the pipes are supported by wood blocks that are in various states of disrepair and do not prevent the movement of the piping on the roofs. All of the roofs are flat top, 3 are of similar size and scope. All work shall conform to IFGC and NFPA standards (latest editions). Findings: The rooftop gas piping is supported by wood blocks that are not preventing movement of the gas pipe. Recommendations: Roofs 3/4, 700, and 730: Provide new gas pipe supports. Supports shall be standard rubber or iron supports preventing movement. Supports shall be every 10 linear feet O.C. for the 2” gas piping, 140 linear feet 1” gas piping, 100 linear feet. All work shall conform to IFGC and NFPA standards (latest editions). Building 935 dormitory: Provide new gas pipe supports. Supports shall be standard rubber or iron supports preventing movement. Delivery Driver – Associate – Ice Cream, Ice, Milk Looking for an enthusiastic team player to assist our Route Drivers in delivering ice cream and/or milk in the greater Sacramento/Stockton area. Project Summary: At present the existing egress from 200/ 220/ 100 would exit into an area that has no safe way out from these buildings. We need an emergency egress out of the areas behind building 100, 200, and 220 to the alleyway west of these buildings. Recommendations: 1. Retrofit existing chain link fence at the alleyway to have a new chain link door which will have an alarmed panic hardware with delayed egress. 2. Door should exit toward the alleyway. 3. New door should be chain-link and match the style of the existing fence line. Findings: The exterior area between Administration Building 100, Education Building 200 and Dining Hall Building 220 is entirely enclosed by buildings with locked doors and fencing which prevents unobstructed egress to a public way during an emergency event.
