Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are the driving force of our day program. DSPs drive ABLE vehicles to and from client’s homes and to outings. DSPs help clients navigate outings by assisting with social norms, money management, social skills, and help them to engage in activities. The part that’s not all fun & games… DSPs are responsible for supporting clients that need assistance with daily living activities such as eating and using the restroom. We provide all training on how to assist clients in these areas. Q-mapped DSPs give medication, provide first aid, administer G-tube feedings, and document according to ABLE’s policies and procedures.
