Dude. No one wants to hear your original music. Nobody. Not one person. People would rather hear a cover band play Takin' Care of Business for the millionth time in a dive bar than listen to anything coming out of you. That's why you're on f'n Craigslist lamenting some romanticized idea of what you wish would be. That's not to say you shouldn't pursue your dreams of playing original music. Absolutely you should. You do you, boo. But to continually post on here, denigrating people who are doing what THEY want to do for people how want to hear them do it, just shows you as the unhappy little man you are. ******************************* ** In most of America the bar is in hell for musicians (minus LA, Nashville, Possibly Vegas) ** But in PHOENIX you have a front row seat to the worst of it. Lots of burnouts from the 80's sunset metal scene (and they were old THEN lol) in LA come here ** because deep down they have given up and have no drive to even really do anything outside of the same old same old covers all the rest of them are doing. ** But because many of them played "the whisky" once or twice (and p2p) mind you, then they are somehow "pros". It is just what it is out here. It is where ** ** creativity goes to die. No one wants to write music here or do say a cover/original set (what a concept) the same night . ** It is harder on drummers because you guys gotta lug all that shit just to deal with goofies. I am sorry for that and try to feel your pain. ** ** I wish somehow we could keep the trolls away and have our own forum where it is like MANDATORY to post your credentials and a real link of your music ** and a pic. It would help weed through so much. These trolls have been taking down my ad for months and it is not that bad, but either my standards, music, or ** picture just triggers them. They are in so much mental anguish. It is sad really. I mean even if you HATE it leave it up. No need to flag someone that is ** serious about finding the right players.
