Educational Assistant We are looking for a responsible and enthusiastic Educational Assistant to join our team at Woodland Charter School. Our school is a public Waldorf school serving K - 8 on a beautiful 19 acre campus in Murphy, Oregon. Our curriculum incorporates plenty of outdoor education, art, music and gardening. As an educational assistant, you will work with students in a whole group, small group and 1:1, as well as perform additional tasks to support teachers in providing a comprehensive educational program. Our ideal candidate is industrious, cooperative and has experience in an educational setting. Willingness and ability to learn and adapt are incredibly important in this role. We are looking for a volunteer Language Teacher to join our Educational team at TEEI. As a language teacher, you will help to enhance the language skills of our students. Role Scope Developing lesson plans and materials to teach basic language skills to students. Conducting online or in-person language classes for students. Evaluating students' progress and providing feedback to help them improve. Collaborating with other volunteers and staff members to develop effective teaching strategies. Providing support and guidance to students to help them achieve their language learning goals. Participating in training sessions and workshops provided by TEEI to enhance your teaching skills. Requirements Experience in teaching or tutoring language learners. Ability to develop and implement effective lesson plans. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others in a multicultural team. Strong organizational and record-keeping skills. Passion for helping underprivileged communities through education. Fluent in Italian. Having a language teaching certificate is highly valued. Good level of spoken/written English. UUCSR Childcare Provider Be a part of our loving, enthusiastic children’s program! Childcare provider for children aged infant-12 years old at a supportive, vibrant congregation (www.uusantarosa.org). Sundays from 10am-12pm and/or 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month from 6:00-8:00 pm (dinner is included) plus occasional opportunities for extra hours. Qualifications: work experience with children, confidence in managing groups of children (as part of a team), strong verbal communication skills and ability to set clear expectations with children in a positive, enthusiastic way, friendliness and sensitivity with parents, ability to create developmentally appropriate activities, attention to special needs, knowledge of and attention to child safety.
