Hello! We are looking for someone to fill a basement bedroom in a four bedroom home right on Sherman Circle in the Petworth neighborhood. The room has its own full bathroom as well as a private entryway, which leads out to one of the home’s parking spaces. There are stairs leading up to the main home, which has a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and a large, fenced in backyard. The other three bedrooms are on the top floor along with a laundry room with a full-size washer/dryer set. The home faces Sherman Circle park and has the following perks nearby: * 17 minute walk to the Georgia Ave/Petworth metro station. * 15 minute walk to Safeway * 10 minute walk to Yes! Organic Market * 15 minute walk to Upshur Recreation Center * Lots of restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance The rent is $1250 + utilities, and we are looking for someone to sign a one-year lease starting between now and Oct 15th. We have two lovely felines already in the home, so we are looking for folks with no pets at this time avoid overcrowding. About us: We are two friends who have signed on to this gorgeous home and are looking to fill the remaining two bedrooms. We both work full time, and are in-office most of the week. We’re both friendly and tidy people who enjoy living with others, while also taking time to do our own thing. Clarissa (43) is a genealogist and movie buff who is currently writing her own book! I (26) work in the government relations field, and my hobbies are crochet, cooking, and tending to my (many) plants. On the weekends you’ll find me relaxing at home or visiting friends in the city (usually to play dungeons & dragons LOL).
