Truck Equipment Installer Technician Mechanic
Owen Equipment, an Owen Company, is looking to hire an experienced Truck Equipment Installer Technician Mechanic to join our growing team. We are one of the largest Vactor and Elgin dealers in the United States and sell, service and rent sewer cleaners, vacuum excavators, street sweepers and related accessories. We are also a leading upfitter of service bodies and snow equipment and are an official dealer for such leading brands as IMT, Henke, Wausau-Everest, Swenson Spreader Co., and Oshkosh. We maintain five full-service locations in Portland, Oregon; Kent, Washington; Spokane, Washington; Fairfield, California; and Salt Lake City, Utah and our customer base consists of the largest municipalities and contractors in the Western U.S. Our equipment is critical to keeping our streets and sewer systems clean, clearing snow, locating buried infrastructure during construction projects, and helping to build and maintain our electrical grid.

Salary: $25.00 - $35.00 an hour depending on experience.

Job Description:
As a truck equipment installer technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various truck bodies and equipment, such as dump bodies, flatbeds, water tanks, plows, chippers, and custom-built machines. You will also perform 12v electrical installation, welding, fabrication and troubleshooting tasks.
Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
⢠High school diploma or equivalent.
⢠At least one year of experience in the commercial truck/truck equipment industry.
⢠Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
⢠Ability to read and follow blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
⢠Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools and other specialized equipment.
⢠Access to tools such as wrenches, sockets, drills, impacts, and grinders.
⢠Valid driverâs license and insurable driving record.
⢠Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
⢠Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
⢠Attention to detail, quality, and safety.
