In the games, participants have up to one hour to work together and “escape” by solving the clues and puzzles they find inside. Job Description: Escape Room LA Game Masters Game masters perform an active role during games and are inside the room with participants during the game. Although you portray a “character” as part of the game, this is not really an acting position, it is primarily a customer service position. Game masters provide subtle hints if needed, and insure that rules are being followed. Game masters also set up and reset rooms and perform light cleaning duties and basic maintenance of room props. Qualifications: • Excellent interpersonal communication skills • A pleasant and outgoing personality / Neat and attractive appearance • Excellent attendance records, a strong attention to detail and great organizational skills • Some performing or theatrical experience is preferred but not required Hours: Between 10-16 hours per week (approximately). You will lead students through an inquiry-based discovery method involving instructor demonstrations, hands-on activities, and amazing take-home projects that will illustrate how science affects the world around us. Mad Science is the world's leading provider of fun science programs for elementary-aged children. This is a part-time position and is somewhat seasonal. Pay for all Areas of Business (AOB) is hourly - including set-up and clean-up time.  Starting pay is $22.00-$26.00 per hour DOE, plus mileage compensation!! We are looking for HIGHLY ENERGETIC, DYNAMIC AND CONFIDENT individuals to join our growing team to conduct exciting science, engineering, and technology programs. You do NOT need to be a certified teacher (although we love that!). Qualifications: - Must be at least 18 years old - Must be available a minimum of three consistent weekday afternoons, 12-5pm. While this is a part-time position, it is critical that you are able to commit to the length of any given program (school season, camp session, after-school program, etc.), and that you are able to give us steady weekly availability. - Must have a personal vehicle as you will be transporting equipment and conducting programs at schools and organizations across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. - Must be available for mandatory Friday meeting, 11am-12pm - Some experience teaching/ working with groups of elementary-age (4-12) children (such as an after-school teacher or camp counselor). - Minimum of 1 year of college suggested.
