Key Responsibilities: -Perform MIG welding in a variety of custom fabrication projects. -Stage, fit, and weld components in multiple placements and configurations. -Manage workload based on production schedules and project priorities. -Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications with accuracy. -Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and implement creative, practical solutions. -Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, following shop safety protocols. -Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the welding department. Requirements: -Experience: Minimum 10 years of MIG welding (pulsed MIG preferred). -Education/Training: Welding degree or certification strongly preferred. -High proficiency in: Blueprint reading, Welding in all positions, Grinding, plasma cutting, and oxy/acetylene cutting. -Strong work ethic, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality. -Willingness to learn and adapt to specialized shop techniques. -Physical ability: Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 100 lbs.; repetitive grasping and rotating; able to work in physically demanding environments and confined spaces. -Work environment: Exposure to welding smoke, heat, and noise levels above 80 dB. *Applicants will be subject to a hands-on performance test as part of the application process* Position Details: -Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (Occasional Friday overtime required) -Hours: 40 hours/week + OT as needed -Type: Full-time Benefits: -Health insurance – 55% employer-paid premium -Dental insurance – 100% employer-paid premium -50 hours of Sick & Safe Leave (accrued) -Paid Time Off (PTO) – accrual-based **Candidates with quality control experience will be prioritized** We’re excited to welcome a new team member who shares our commitment to quality, safety, and growth. Works with no supervision, Technicians with Building maintenance experience is expected to learn Tru-Serve's facilities and properties as assigned. The Maintenance Tech II should have at least 2 years of Building Maintenance experience !!! As experience and competence is gained, assignments become more varied and are performed with high levels of Accuracy. The MT2 is required to have a special boilers license. The MT2 is also required to have 2 years of Apartment Maintenance, and at least 2 year of Commercial Maintenance. This class is distinguished from the class of Maintenance I by having Special Boilers License, Three or more years of building Maintenance experience. Examples of Key Duties: (Duties are illustrative and not inclusive and may vary with individual assignments.) Performs skilled and semi-skilled maintenance activities depending upon area of assignment including performing trade activities such as electrical, plumbing and carpentry work; plants, fertilizes and trims shrubs and trees; pest control without the use of Chemicals. Repairs water lines, repairs and maintains, sidewalks, parking lots, striping; services and repairs of Tru-Serves equipment and other property of Tru-serves, other buildings in a clean and orderly condition. Empties trash containers and removes trash from sites or other locations assigned, landscaped areas and other Tru-Serve properties; and performs custodial work as assigned. Maintains logs and records of work performed and materials and equipment used. Maintains and owns a variety of hand and power tools ensuing they are in safe and efficient working order. Inventories and requests equipment and supplies. Responds to call-outs and emergencies assigned with On-Call and Daily emergencies, work orders or any other job duties assigned. MT2 may instruct and guide temporary, work alternative and seasonal employees and MTI's in basic work procedures and safe working practices. MT2 May contact residents, Clients, Customers, to inform them of work to be performed. Performs other duties of a similar level or nature. We have vinyl plank and laminate installations and can keep you busy 5 days a week. Requires you have a truck and tools necessary for professional install. You need to be able to demo existing flooring, use equipment to control the dust and haul it to our facility where we have dumpsters. You need to have the skills to do proper floor prep with self leveler, you need to have a Tramex moisture meter to check all floors before installing. We sell all of these items if you don't have them and can work out payment plans if needed. You and your helper(s) need to be able to pass a background check. We pay weekly and we always pay on time!
