Masonry Bid Estimator Masonry and stucco company seeking full time bid estimator. Position responsibilities will include but are not limited to: -Prepare estimates for commercial work pertaining to brick, block, stone, and stucco using plan sets and/or commercially available online takeoff tools. -Be responsible for working with subcontractors and suppliers during the bid process in order to obtain complete bid package information. -Prepare accurate bid proposals and propose them to the general contractors. -Review the project documents for value engineering suggestions. -Work with the Estimating Team and the Client to review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine the scope of work and required contents of the estimate. -Must be able to work with Project Manager and company owner to ensure that projects are kept on schedule and on budget. -Ensure all working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures with bid estimating team. -Applicants must have the ability to take initiative and work independently while also collaborating in a team environment. -Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills used in working with the internal team, vendors, subcontractors, and clients. I could entertain a couple if the second party maintained housekeeping responsibilities. This commitment is for a minimum of 90 days, however if all parties are content, the contract can be long term. This position will be open as now. If hired, one can expect a round trip ticket from your nearest major airport to Kona, Hawaii.
