Position Summary: The Concrete Pump Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a concrete (line) pump on various commercial and industrial job sites. This role requires experience in handling pumping equipment, setting up the pump, coordinating with crew members, and ensuring high-quality grout placement that meets job specifications, safety standards, and project deadlines. Must be able to pass background check for military base access Key Responsibilities • Operation of Equipment: Safely operate concrete pumps to place grout at specified locations, managing pump pressure, line flow, and pump efficiency. • Setup & Tear Down: Prepare pump equipment, hoses, lines, and attachments at the beginning of the shift and properly dismantle, clean, and store them after use. • Jobsite Coordination: Work closely with the masonry crew and project managers to coordinate grout delivery and placement. • Maintenance: Perform daily inspections, lubrication, and minor maintenance of the pump to ensure reliable operation. Report equipment issues promptly. • Safety Compliance: Follow all company, OSHA, and project-specific safety regulations, including proper use of PPE and adherence to site protocols. • Grout Handling: Monitor pump operation to maintain consistent flow, avoid blockages, and ensure quality grout placement. • Documentation: Complete daily logs, maintenance checklists, and equipment usage reports. • Support Role: Assist masonry crews with additional tasks as needed, including hose handling, cleanup, or site preparation. Qualifications: • Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating a concrete pump in commercial or industrial grouting projects. • Knowledge: Strong understanding of concrete pumping techniques, pump mechanics, and safe handling of grout lines. • Skills: o Ability to troubleshoot pump malfunctions and perform minor repairs. o Effective communication with drivers, crews, and supervisors. o Strong awareness of jobsite hazards and commitment to safety. Physical Requirements: o Ability to lift 50–75 lbs. regularly. o Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. o Capable of standing, bending, and moving for extended periods. Certifications (preferred but not required): ACPA (American Concrete Pumping Association) Operator Certification, OSHA 10/30. Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred. Work Environment: • Job sites include commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and large-scale construction projects. • Exposure to noise, vibration, dust, concrete materials, and heavy equipment is common. • Work schedules may include overtime, nights, or weekends depending on project deadlines. We are a locally owned and established asphalt maintenance company with over 20 years of experience in the industry. We’re looking to add a couple of new top hands to our crew. The Paving Supervisor position requires the ability to operate the following construction equipment; Skip Loader, Skid-steer, Back Hoe, Vibratory Compactor, Compressor with Jackhammer, & Plate Compactor. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Paving Foreman. (include previous jobs or experience examples) Experience with Parking Lots and Repair & Maintenance projects. Must have supervisory skills handling crews ranging from 3-7 people. Must maintain high-quality workmanship. Must be capable and proficient in interacting with trucking subcontractors and other miscellaneous subs. Ability to travel for work during the week or weekend when needed.
