Commercial Door Installation Carpenter (Cincinnati)

Position Summary: Foxx Construction is seeking an experienced Commercial Door Installation Carpenter to join our team. This position is responsible for installing, adjusting, and repairing commercial doors, frames, and hardware across various project sites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in commercial carpentry, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: - Install commercial metal and wood doors, frames, and related hardware according to plans and specifications. - Measure, cut, fit, and align doors and frames for proper installation and operation. - Install and adjust hardware including hinges, locks, closers, panic bars, and electronic access devices. - Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and hardware schedules. Inspect completed installations to ensure compliance with quality standards and building codes. - Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all Foxx Construction safety procedures and OSHA regulations. - Communicate effectively with superintendents, project managers, and other trades on-site. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial door installation or commercial carpentry. - Proficient in the use of hand and power tools. - Strong understanding of commercial door and frame systems (hollow metal, wood, aluminum, etc.). - Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks as required. - Reliable transportation and basic carpentry tools. - Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Division 8 (Doors and Hardware) installations. - Familiarity with access control systems or specialty hardware. - OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
