Part-Time Household Assistant/Family Helper Location: Manhattan Beach, CA, 90266 Start: ASAP Compensation: $35-45/hour (DOE) Schedule: 12–15 hours/week (flexible; ideally 3 mornings per week or full days based on candidate preference) Description: We are seeking a warm, proactive, and detail-oriented Household Assistant to support a dynamic, high-energy home in Manhattan Beach. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organizing, light cleaning, and helping a busy household run smoothly behind the scenes. The family includes five adult children who visit frequently, two active dogs, and a busy couple who travel often. The client is looking for someone who can take initiative with the day-to-day “life clutter,” helping to streamline the household so she can focus on other priorities. Key Responsibilities: Laundry and ironing (including unpacking suitcases and washing post-travel) Light tidying and organizing (closets, drawers, pantry, bathrooms) Occasional light cleaning to maintain a neat space between housekeeper visits Packing and unpacking before/after travel Errand running (e.g., dry cleaning, post office, light grocery pick-ups) Waiting for deliveries or service appointments Keeping household supplies stocked and organized Occasional support preparing for visiting family members Ideal Candidate: Experienced in household support roles (3–5 years preferred) Organized, efficient, and self-directed — knows how to anticipate needs Friendly and respectful, with strong communication skills Pet-friendly and comfortable with a casual, high-energy home Comfortable folding, ironing, and organizing personal items with care Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Compensation & Terms: Rate: $35–$45/hour depending on experience Schedule: 12–15 hours/week (flexible structure, ideally 3 mornings or mid-day shifts) Reimbursements: Gas mileage and errands will be reimbursed Opportunity for additional hours during busy seasons or guest visit
