Regularly moving up to 50lbs of recycled carpet or pad Monitors the staging and location of products using a hand scanner. Reports accidents or other safety situations to management. May be required to perform other related duties as requested including, but not limited to, assisting with other warehouse duties, office cleaning, product support within Vendor locations, etc. Essential Functions: Must be able to operate a forklift. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to sustain a workload consisting of exerting 10 to 50 pounds or more to move objects.

The starting rate is $21.50/hr. The Building Specialist position schedule will vary based on the season. For example during the summer, the schedule start time is 5 am and during the fall, the schedule start time is 7 am. Inspects contracted work for satisfactory results. Ensures that all buildings are clean, systems are functional and safe conditions exist. Performs preventive maintenance for buildings and equipment. Assists in training and oversight of seasonal workers on vehicles and equipment operation. Effectively uses the Park District Computerized Maintenance Management System to carry out assigned duties.
