Porter position for busy cafe (West Hollywood)

Dialog Cafe is a small family-owned cafe in the heart of West Hollywood, adjacent to the Sunset Strip. We have served our community for over 15 years, providing the highest quality coffee, pastries, and food. We source locally from farmer’s markets, and use vendors who also take an immense amount of pride in their finished product. Our goal is to provide excellent service to our community while also creating a space that feels like home for all people. We are looking for people to join our team who share the same core values, are willing to learn new tasks, and can work in a fast-paced environment. Prior restaurant/cafe experience highly preferred but not necessary. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged. Essential Duties: - Maintains a clean, well organized, fully stocked station(s) - Linen control/Mop control - Takes care of incoming delivery orders, puts everything away in designated spot, responsible for inventory - Overall maintenance of equipment/furniture - Sets up our outdoor patio seating, including tables, chairs, umbrellas, and heat lamps - FIFO control of all products, including milks, juices, meat, fresh produce, etc - Expedites product for prep cooks - Helps with deep cleaning of prep area, storage facility, basement facility, including shelves and refrigerators/freezers - Effectively communicates issues and needs to management What we offer: - Competitive pay - Discounted food and beverage - Growth opportunities to lead, management, or other departments We are looking forward to receiving your application.
