Bartender – Wine-Focused | Brooklyn Wine Bar (Brooklyn)
Are you passionate about wine and love sharing that passion with others? We're a neighborhood wine bar in the heart of Brooklyn, known for our curated bottle list, fun by-the-glass pours, and warm, low-key service. We’re looking for a bartender who leads with wine—someone who can guide guests through our list, recommend pairings, and help make wine feel accessible, exciting, and memorable. What You’ll Do: Sell wine, not just pour it. Help guests discover bottles and styles they’ll love. Recommend pairings and guide guests through our wine-friendly light bites menu. Mix a small number of classic and house cocktails with care—wine is the focus here. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming bar that meets NYC health & safety standards (NYC Food Handler's Certification required). Handle transactions efficiently using our POS system. Contribute to a smooth, collaborative team service—and jump in where needed. You’re a Great Fit If You: Have a strong foundation in wine—from service roles, certifications, or self-study. Are confident upselling wine in a conversational, non-pushy way. Enjoy pairing food and wine and want to help guests experience both. Are dependable, friendly, and team-oriented. Can work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. A Note on Our Food Program: We currently serve a small menu of wine-friendly snacks and light fare. While simple for now, we’re excited to make food a stronger part of our guest experience over time. Bartenders here have the opportunity to help shape how we talk about and grow this part of the program—especially when it comes to wine and food pairings. Why Work With Us? We’re not a cocktail lounge or a club—we’re a wine bar. If you’re looking for a place where your knowledge and passion for wine matter, and where you can grow with a team that values quality and genuine hospitality, we’d love to meet you. Apply Today. We’re interviewing this week with immediate openings available. Send your resume and a brief note about what excites you about working in a wine-forward bar.
