Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of early childhood development. This role involves supporting the lead teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in our daycare facility. The Daycare Assistant will engage with children, assist in daily activities, and help foster their social, emotional, and cognitive growth. We are looking for someone to work between the hours of 10 am - 4 pm. Punctuality and responsibility are key. Also, we require someone who has their background check done. We are a fully licensed child home day care center (4 - 12 children) and looking for an immediate hire. Duties: - Assist in the daily care of infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. - Implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development. - Support classroom management by maintaining a positive and structured environment. - Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance on social interactions. - Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom and play areas. - Collaborate with lead teachers to develop individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities. - Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. - Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to childcare and early childhood education. Requirements: - Experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred. - Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. - Familiarity with behavior management techniques. - First aid certification is a plus. - Experience in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is desirable. - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. - A nurturing attitude towards children and a commitment to their well-being. - Previous experience in preschool settings, toddler care, or infant care is highly valued. - Background in teaching, caregiving, nannying, or babysitting is beneficial.
