We are a busy and well-loved Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Astoria, dedicated to delivering great food, exceptional service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We are currently seeking a driven, experienced, and team-oriented individual to join our team as a Full-Time Assistant Manager / Lead Server. This hybrid role requires someone who can confidently lead service on the floor and also assist with day-to-day management responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: As Assistant Manager: Support General Manager in daily operations Assist with scheduling, inventory, and staff management Ensure smooth shift execution and high standards of service Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently Train and mentor FOH staff Help enforce safety, cleanliness, and compliance policies As Lead Server: Provide excellent table service with attention to detail Lead by example and support fellow servers during peak hours Ensure team readiness for each shift (side work, cleanliness, etc.) Communicate effectively between kitchen and front-of-house staff Maintain knowledge of menu, specials, and restaurant policies Requirements: Minimum 2 years of restaurant experience (serving and/or management) Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team Strong communication and conflict-resolution abilities Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Flexible availability (must be able to work nights/weekends/holidays) POS system experience (Toast, Square, or similar platforms preferred) Food Handler’s Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain) What We Offer: Competitive hourly wage + tips (for lead server shifts) Opportunity for growth into full management role Positive, team-focused work environment Employee meals and staff discounts How to Apply: Please send your resume and a brief cover letter “Assistant Manager / Lead Server Application – [Your Name]” We’re looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a team setting, and is ready to step into a leadership role.
