East Village bar looking to hire a Weekend Door Person. This is a short-term position for the month of October with potential to continue for the first 2 weeks of November. We’re looking for someone who is able to work EVERY Friday/Saturday for the month of October. The shifts are approximately 4-5 hours long, paid at $25/hour. Schedule: Fridays: 9:00PM - 1:00AM/2:00AM Saturdays: 7:00PM - 12:00AM/1:00AM Dates: October 3rd / 4th October 10th / 11th October 17th / 18th October 24th / 25th October 31st / November 1 November 7th / 9th (Tentative) November 14th / 15th (Tentative) Job Duties: - Check ID’s at the door - Ensure customers aren’t too intoxicated to be served - Prevent customers from bringing outside beverages in - Answer basic questions about the bar - Monitor outdoor seating area - Support bartenders when dealing with unruly/intoxicated customers - Help clear glassware and keep the bar tidy Requirements: - Available to work ALL of the dates listed above - Previous experience checking ID’s (could be as a Bartender or a Door Person/Bouncer) - Comfortable and confident dealing with customers, even unruly/intoxicated customers - Able to handle confrontation in a mature, composed manner - Friendly and willing to be helpful to customers (a lot of this job will be answering questions at the door, so we’re looking for someone who is okay chatting with customers) - Previous Bar / Nightlife Experience Required (Bartending is OK) - Previous Door Person / Bouncer / Security Experience Preferred

Busy tavern/gastropub looking for part time HOST to join our small but great team.
