Crew Leader – Four-Season Property Services Location: Stowe, Vermont Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round (40 hours/week, weather depending) About Us Stowe Home Care is a trusted, locally rooted property services company providing comprehensive care for homes and estates in the Stowe area. From lawn mowing and landscaping to snow plowing, property cleanups, and specialized home services, we deliver reliable, high-quality results in every season. We are seeking an experienced Crew Leader to oversee field operations and work hands-on with a small crew across our full range of services. This is a stable, year-round role for someone who takes pride in hard work, leadership, and delivering excellent service in Vermont’s unique four-season environment. Key Responsibilities Crew Leadership & Operations • Lead a small crew in day-to-day property service tasks, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety. • Train and mentor crew members; set the pace on job sites. • Communicate with the office and clients as needed regarding job progress, needs, and follow-ups. • Maintain a professional, respectful, and safety-first culture. Seasonal Service Delivery • Spring & Summer: Lawn mowing, string trimming, edging, mulching, garden/bed maintenance, and seasonal property enhancements. • Fall: Leaf cleanups, property winterization, pruning, and general site prep. • Winter: Snow plowing, snow blowing, shoveling, salting/sanding, and storm response readiness. • Year-Round / Fill-In Services: Pressure washing, painting/staining, light carpentry and masonry projects, small tree removal, brush clearing, and other home maintenance services to ensure steady 40-hour work weeks. Equipment & Safety • Operate and maintain commercial-grade mowers, string trimmers, blowers, plow trucks, skid steers, and other tools. • Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles. • Ensure compliance with company safety standards and OSHA guidelines. Qualifications • Minimum of 3+ years of experience (5-7 years or more preferred) in landscaping, property services, or construction trades, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. • Proficiency with commercial mowers, string trimmers, and snow removal equipment. • Ability to lead and motivate a small crew. • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL a plus. • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, snow, rain). • Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality workmanship.
