We are seeking an experienced Prep Cook to fill a part-time position- Sun/Mon/Thu/Fri 8:00 AM- 4:00 PM Cooks work as part of a team to prepare fresh, organic, vegetarian and vegan food. Previous food service experience is important, especially knife work and familiarity with kitchen equipment as well as food safety/health code knowledge, and ability to be focused and productive. An interest in natural and organic foods is necessary. Wage starts at $16.75 per hour. Candidate will show attention to detail, orientation toward safety, a willingness to learn new techniques, and excitement to be part of a positive, supportive work environment. Requirements: - Prior experience in the food service industry is preferred - Strong math skills for order accuracy and cash handling - Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitize work areas - Willingness to assist team members as needed - Knowledge of food handling and safety guidelines - Proficiency in using a cash register is a plus Clear and reset tables promptly after guests leave, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for new diners. Assist servers by providing support during busy service periods, including refilling drinks and delivering food when needed. Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing utensils and condiments. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food and efficient service flow. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while performing duties. Engage with guests in a friendly manner, addressing any needs or concerns they may have during their visit.
