What You’ll Do: Safely and efficiently operate and maintain a ready-mix concrete truck to deliver product to residential, commercial and industrial job sites. Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required documentation. Maintain strict adherence to safety, environmental and DOT regulations. Ensure product quality and order accuracy. Maintain positive customer relationships by providing professional and courteous service. Keep your truck clean and free of buildup, for optimal performance and professional appearance. Assist with precast block production, yard maintenance, and general labor duties as needed. What We’re Looking For: 2+ years of commercial driving experience preferred Valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred), current DOT medical card, and an insurable driving record. Experience in ready-mix concrete delivery or other construction-related trucking is a plus. Ability to effectively communicate with dispatch, co-workers and customers. Strong understanding of safe driving practices and DOT regulations. Ability to perform physical tasks, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in all weather conditions. Flexibility to work varying start times, overtime and occasional Saturdays as needed. Familiarity with the local delivery routes and job sites a plus. What We Offer: $31.55 - $40.35 per hour. Qualifications Qualifications: • CDL Class A required • Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card required • 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 5 years • 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents • In order to be compliant with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2)), this role requires English language proficiency • Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening required. • This position is regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive by the company, and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is required.
